What is SWIN?

SWIN은 Sungshin Woman univ International Network의 약자로, 성신여대 교내 본교생-유학생 동아리입니다. 다양한 문화와 언어를 가진 학생들이 서로 소통하고, 글로벌 감각을 키울 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.

본교 학생과 유학생들이 함께 어울려 서로의 문화를 배우고, 언어 교환, 정규 및 비정규 활동 등을 통해 교류를 촉진하는 활동을 진행합니다. 이로써 새로운 친구를 사귀고, 국제적 네트워크를 형성하며, 다양한 배경의 학생들과 소통할 수 있는 특별한 경험을 나눕니다.

SWIN stands for Sungshin Woman Univ International Network, a student club at Sungshin Women’s University that connects local students with international students. It provides opportunities for students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds to communicate and develop a global mindset.

Through cultural exchange, language sharing, and both formal and informal activities, SWIN promotes interaction between local and international students. This allows members to make new friends, build international networks, and share unique experiences with peers from various backgrounds.

  1. 언어 Languages

    1. The official languages of SWIN are Korean and English. SWIN의 공용어는 영어와 한국어입니다.
    2. When speaking Korean, use informal language! To become close quickly! 한국어로 얘기할 땐 반말로 이야기합니다. 빨리 친해지기 위해!

  2. 보증금 Deposit

    1. ****All members are required to pay a deposit of 25,000 KRW. You will receive 5,000 KRW refunded for each activity you attend.

      보증금은 25,000원씩 걷습니다. 정규 활동에 1회 나올 때 마다 5000원씩 돌려드립니다.

    2. Please note that the deposit is non-refundable! 보증금 환불은 불가합니다.

    3. If you do not participate for more than half of the gathering time on that day, we will not refund the deposit. (e.g., only participating for 30 minutes) 그 날 활동 시간의 절반 이상 참여하지 않는 경우에는 보증금을 돌려드리지 않습니다. (예: 30분만 참여하고 가기)

    4. If you have not paid the deposit on the orientation day and paid it afterwards, starting from the second activity you participated in, it will be refunded to you. We do not refund the deposit on the same day it is paid. 보증금을 OT 때 못 내고 이후에 낸 경우, 본인이 2번째로 참가하신 활동부터 돌려드립니다. 보증금을 낸 당일에는 보증금을 환급해드리지 않습니다.

  3. 노쇼 No-show rules

    1. After accumulating 2 no-shows, 5,000 KRW will be deducted from your deposit. After 3 no-shows, you will no longer be able to participate in the club. In this case, the remaining deposit will not be refunded. 노쇼 누적 2회 시 보증금 5천원이 차감됩니다. 누적 3회 시 동아리에 나오실 수 없습니다. 이 경우 남은 보증금은 돌려드리지 않습니다.
    2. The criteria for a no-show are as follows: 노쇼의 기준은:

    1. Cancellation between 23:59 the day before the activity and the day of (excluding cases where you notify us due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances).

    2. 활동 전날 23:59분-당일 취소(아프거나 부득이한 경우 연락했을 때 제외)

      1. Being late by more than 1 hour without prior notice to the organizers on the day of the activity will also be considered a no-show.
      2. 당일 운영진에게 사전 예고 없이 1시간 이상 지각한 경우 노쇼로 처리됩니다.
    1. In the case of illness or other unavoidable circumstances, you must contact the organizers within 1 hour of the activity's start to avoid being marked as a no-show. 아프거나 부득이한 경우가 생겼을 때는 활동 시작 이후 1시간까지 운영진에게 연락을 주셔야 노쇼로 처리되지 않습니다.
